Sandvik promotes youth interest in technology
Sandvik has launched a “Man vs Machine” YouTube series to help overcome the shortage of engineers in the workforce.
The market for qualified and talented engineers is becoming increasingly competitive for industry-based companies, and a shortage of engineers looks likely in the future. Sandvik has therefore launched a YouTube channel together with Splay to increase interest in technology and engineering among young people.
“We want to reach out to young people to show them that technology, industry and manufacturing can be really exciting, and that technology is all around them,” says Hanna Meuser, Employer Branding Manager at Sandvik. “YouTube is an effective channel for us to reach young people.”
