Gävleborg opens the largest Wind Park in Scandinavia

The new Jädraås Wind Park, consisting of 66 wind turbines, became the largest park in Scandinavia in May 2013.

The Jädraås Wind Park, owned by Arise Windpower AB and Platina Partners LLP, cost over SEK 3 billion and took almost two years to construct. The Wind Park includes 175m high turbines and opened on 28 May 2013.

SEK 40 billion will be invested in the industry and over 1,400 wind turbines will be constructed in Gävleborg in the next 10 years. This investment represents significant business opportunities for wind turbine component suppliers, construction and maintenance. Invest in Gävleborg provides information about specific business opportunities and organizes study visits to regional projects and partners.
